I think he was taking some rich guy’s yacht down.The Bounty is a strange story. A 180 foot boat should have no problem with 18 foot waves. And blaming it on a power failure? On a sqgare-riguer? Aside: maybe 10 yrs ago there was some mover & shaker trying to get crew to sail a hi-tech monster from NZ to the east coast. About 120′, 4 masts with 4 identical marconi sails, all electrically / computer driven. And the computers were running Windows.
